Questions about labour codes advisory
When does PF become mandatory?
EPF registration is mandatory once an establishment has 20 or more employees. Smaller employers can register voluntarily.
When does ESI apply?
ESI generally applies to establishments with 10 or more employees and covers employees earning up to ₹21,000 a month. Coverage can vary by state notification.
What are the PF and ESI due dates?
Contributions for a month are due by the 15th of the following month.
