Questions about GST advisory
Who must register for GST?
Businesses whose yearly turnover crosses ₹40 lakh for goods or ₹20 lakh for services (lower in some special category states), and anyone making inter-state supplies of goods, selling through e-commerce platforms or acting as a casual taxable person, whatever their turnover.
What happens if I miss a GST return?
A late fee applies for every day of delay, interest at 18% a year applies to tax paid late, and you cannot file the next return until the earlier one is filed. Long gaps can lead to cancellation of your registration.
Can you handle GST if I already have an accountant?
Yes. We can file returns, reconcile credit or handle a single notice while your accountant keeps your books.
